Joseph Gordon-Levitt Might Have A Spidey Future After All

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Before director Marc Webb was announced as helmer of the future Spider-Man reboot, I offhandedly mentioned that, despite the age discrepancy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt would make an excellent replacement for Tobey Maguire. Hell, I hadn’t even seen Gordon Levitt’s recent SNL take on Spidey either–he was just the first actor that popped into my head when considering who’d look particularly fetching while shooting some web. Now, check this shit out (from MTV):

In the days since Marc Webb become the directorial heir to Sam Raimi’s big screen “Spider-Man” franchise, online speculation has suggested Webb could turn to some familiar talent to fill the shoes–and the spandex–of Peter Parker: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whom he directed in “(500) Days of Summer.”

And there’s still more fuel for this fire. MTV News’ Sundance suite asked him about this newfound rumour, and, while Gordon-Levitt’s verbal response is predictably controlled, just look at his body language:

This is more than mere speculation. It’s pretty obvious that the guy’s been rolling the idea around in his head, right?
