Sometimes, rumours are just rumours, and we are happy to confirm that speculation of a Moss-Doherty reunion leads to absolutely nowhere. In fact, Kate Moss has sparked a relatively new romance with musician Jamie “Hotel” Hince:

But while he shares a musical background with her former boyfriend, junkie Pete Doherty, that is apparently where the similarity ends.

Hince is such a puritan he does not even eat dairy products or meat and describes himself as a “chain-smoking vegan”.

Jamie Hince is half of The Kills, an English-Floridian band of six years that is often compared to The White Stripes. Along with bandmate Alison Mosshart, Hince is presently in the studio recording the group’s third album. It seems that Hince also comes approved by Kate’s long-time ex-boyfriend, publisher Jefferson Hack, who has previously dated Alison Mosshart. Hince seems to have an affinity for model types and has most recently been linked to Valentine Fillol-Cordier, whom he dated for about eighteen months and split from two months ago.

After spending time at a pub over the weekend, Moss and Hince reportedly left for a party at Davinia Taylor’s home, where they ignored attendee Sienna Miller and were spotted kissing passionately for most of the evening: “Kate spent most of the bash attached to his face, only breaking away for air or alcohol.” In retrospect, Hince’s presence identifies him as the so-called “mystery man” and “dark-haired (and-as-yet-unnamed) friend” that Moss was photographed with on August 9th.

While we feel slight pity for Pete Doherty, it’s admittedly nice to see Kate Moss with a much more handsome suitor who also makes a habit of bathing.
