While reading up just yesterday on Marie Tussaud, who of course set up Madame Tussauds in London, all the talk of death masks and wax figures has pretty much given me the creeps. Yet today the new Kate Moss wax figure was revealed and as expected, the supermodel looks glamourously twenty-five years old again.
For some mysterious reason yet unknown, waxy Kate sits on a small sofa in a Manhattan loft apartment, which I do suppose symbolizes her often cosmopolitan lifestyle.
A spokesman for Madame Tussauds said the 33-year-old, who had not been able to attend the launch as she had other commitments, was “very pleased” with the outcome.
“She is not just popular in the fashion world and the world of the media, she is also popular with visitors. We have a poll of guests every month and she is always in the top five of figures that they would like to see in here.”
No sign of faux Doherty appears on the premises, which perhaps is because he generally looks like a waxen statute already.

That’s an impressive wax job. But the best thing at Madame Tussauds is still the old man ticket agent in the corner by the entrance. Er… that was a wax job too, wasn’t it??
