Bloody hell, mates. If this is the most interesting thing I can find to finish up the afternoon, then we’re all screwed. Nonetheless, it’s quite a fright to see Kirsten Dunst doing the “Japanese schoolgirl” thing for a music video shoot in Tokyo.
This reaction arrives mainly because Japanese schoolgirls don’t dress like this, but we can’t expect the director that Bill Murray headbutted, McG, to get things right. After all, dude allowed Christian Bale to essentially rewrite the mythology of the Terminator movie franchise, so a realistic interpretation of Japanese Gothic Lolita fashion isn’t exactly within reach here. Even Gwen Stefani did better with all of that Harajuku Girls crap.
Nice legs though.

I am writing to endorse the Kirsten Dunst Japanese schoolgirl thing as 100% authentic.
I’ve been to the Harajuku area, the girls dress like this. Some are goth but some are pink.
I love those shoes.
Authentic or not, it’s working for me. What music video, though? Do kids even know who Kirsten Dunst IS?
