Metaphorical fangs, of course, since she’s not actually a vampire. In the movie Twilight, Kristen plays Bella Swan, the maladjusted teenage chick who gets involved with some bloodsucking creature 91 years her senior. Still, at the premiere for the maniacally anticipated movie, Kristen looked more than a little uncomfortable as she mingled with the non-undeadlings that comprise her fan base. And no wonder: according to this MSN interview, Kristen seems to think anyone dumb enough to get caught up in the Twlightpalooza might as well have stumbled right off the short bus. Certainly, she didn’t want to see the fans while the film was shooting:
I was like, ‘You guys are celebrating something that has not come true yet. So, you are really retarded and have nothing to do with this creative process and I really don’t want to hear you celebrate in front of me. Get out of here! It’s my responsibility!’”
Granted, being followed around by a gaggle of teenage girls who want to know what it’s like to kiss a vampire could get on anyone’s nerves. But there’s a thin line between seeing the ridiculousness of show biz and thinking you’re better than the projects you work on. Start thinking like that, and you’ll grow up to be Katherine Heigl.

I read the book. It was crap. The movie will be crap also, but like the books will likely make a ton of money, so we will be cursed with a string of them.

It’s no different than when the hard-core Trekkies ask the actors what it’s like to travel at warp speed, or be beamed through the transporter. Some fans just have no concept of “it’s only a role.”
so far, this cast has shown the most respectable disrespect for what garbage they’ve most likely made and for the people who are fans of it BEFORE IT COMES OUT. I’m actually starting to like these two actors. I get the impression this is some sort of teen vampire softcore, and that they are the focus of some sort of pubescent wish fulfillment for the author and the fans, in an almost fetishitic sense. I’d be done with it, too. These kids are out of hand.
I am amazed that I have not (yet) been savaged for saying the book is terrible. It is though.

Ok, before I go into a whole defensive-this-actress-rock-leave-her-alone thing. Can I just say how much it’s upset me seeing this website. Only because I am a huge fan of Kristen Stewart and I hate to think she’s that horrible.
What am I to do? I still like her, I don’t care who doesn’t like it but I am a Twilight fan too. I love the book and I’ll love the film. In my opinion, it’s not crap. I wish this wasn’t the girl I’ve looked up to since panic room, but I won’t stop being her fan. If she didn’t like it, why’s she still in the business?
