Courtesy of Film Threat, the Valkyrie final one-sheet poster (see full version) has arrived, and it’s difficult to say, but I do believe that is Tom Cruise. It sure as hell doesn’t look like any of the other imagery we’ve seen for the film, and, although the Poison Dwarf is positioned at the forefront, he dwells largely in shadows for this promotional material. It’s almost as if MGM-UA would prefer us to recognize the rest of the cast, which tells us that, despite all public-relations statements to the contrary, the studio remains in a state of worry over the former golden boy gone operating thetan.

The truly bizarre aspect of this one-sheet is that the Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg character appears to have suddenly regained perfect eyesight. After all, this poster doesn’t even slightly allude to that hot and unadulterated sexy eye-patch action that we’ve become so familiar with lampooning.

Poor Tom can’t even hold his own compared to a film that’s still in its pre-production stages.
