It seems like forever since we first discussed Troy Duffy’s announcement for production of a Boondock Saints sequel as well as casting choices (Willem Defoe, you and your sexy legs will be missed) and possible spoilers. Despite all of the numerous flaws of the first film, which were undoubtedly complicated when director Troy Duffy decided to piss off Harvey Weinstein and blow the original film deal, Brian Prisco’s recent retrospective recently reminded me of how entertaining this film really was.
Now we have an actual red-band (restricted) trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, and the sequel actually looks surprisingly watchable. While I was aware of the casting of the lickable John Bender Judd Nelson (who, btw, was entirely underrated in “Suddenly Susan”), it now appears that Nelson actually plays the son of the mafioso who was taken out in the first film’s courtroom scene, which makes things sort of interesting from a plot standpoint. Plus, the hot Irish accents of Sean Patrick Flanery & Norman Reedus totally don’t hurt matters either. You know what does bother me here? Billy “Il Duce” Connelly’s hair. Cut that shit off, dude.
Thanx to Paris Hilton’s speedo-wearing poolboy.

Color me skeptical on this one. Although I did enjoy the first.
Yeah, it will be absolutely mindless and acted without a trace of irony by most parties. Still, a fun ride.
Willam Dafoe stole the first movie, and without him it would just be another second-rate action flick. This one runs the risk of being a cheap knock-off of a second-rate action flick, which ain’t pretty.
Yep, I’m ready for disappointment although this shit looks good..
