It’s been a while since Oasis was a big, big thing on the UK music scene, but Liam Gallagher is still around and still displaying the tart tongue that always made him sound like John Lennon with a serious concussion. These days he’s busy with other projects—his band Beady Eye (aka Oasis 2.0), and his Pretty Green clothing line. He talked a little about the former, a little about the latter, and a whole lot about the coolness of Liam Gallagher in an interview with Spin magazine. On the subject of clothing, Liam couldn’t avoid making an invidious comparison to the stuff he’s hawking and Jay-Z’s RocaWear fashion line:

Your clothing label, Pretty Green, has done well. What am I going to experience wearing your gear as opposed to, say, Jay-Z’s Roca-wear?
You’re going to be f***ing arrested wearing his gear and you’re going to pull a really nice-looking bird wearing mine.

Maybe. Personally, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a ditch wearing clothing endorsed by either one of these guys, but then our notions of really nice-looking birds are probably kind of divergent as well. Anyway, Liam’s birds probably regard a rap sheet as a seriously cool fashion accessory.
