Lily Allen certainly has good intentions but sometimes forgets that, in Los Angeles, she is tailed by more paparazzi than actual fans. So, when Lily whipped up a variation on the Nine Inch Nails’ move of hiding tickets in an LA drainpipe and posting a “treasure map” online, things went a bit wrong.
Popbitch tells us that Lily had attempted to unleash her fans on this sort of scavenger hunt for the VIP tickets to her LA concert. All went smoothly until it was revealed that tickets fell into the wrong hands, so to speak:
Lily Allen, master of new media tricks, tweeted clues so fans could get free tickets to her gig at the Wilton, LA, last week. Except, as Lily Allen’s LA fanbase is smallish, many of those following her clues, and thereby gaining front row VIP places, were paparazzi who had not been allowed access to her show but fancied earning themselves the chance to get close and take some unflattering photos.
Hey, these guys could actually be fans of Lily’s music, right? Well, maybe.

[...] Lily Allen fucks with the wrong people [...]
This seems strange, Lily Allen’s concert at the Wil-Tern in L.A. was about a week and a half ago, the timing for the information seems a bit off. Paparazzi photographers, would have gotten those pictures to the people that were concerned. Since the story broke Lily Allen has been to San Fransisco, Seattle Canada, Salt Lake City, Denver, and is now on her way to (I believe) Chicago. Something isn’t right about this. The picture above is from last year!
Well, the picture wasn’t intended to illustrate the post. Sorry about the confusion.
The story wasn’t even intended to fit the time frame!
