I really hope this guy is playing a role. Chris Crocker is like the gay son that David Spade is ashamed to acknowledge—not because he’s gay, but because of his pathetic, creepy devotion to Miss Britney Spears. If Crocker is playing a role, he deserves serious props for bringing an Andy Kaufman level of commitment to the part. If not, I think he’s about two weeks away from kidnapping the current, slightly tubby version of Britney and trying to make her into a woman suit.

Wow! That is one seriously disturbed individual.
Probably a little bit lost in the role, but he’s like that all the time would be my guess. Does that make him a guy playing a part (self stereotyped wacked out gay dude) or just really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really high maintenance? I laughed so hard it made my face hurt! But yeah, serious issues here–especially after seeing the “Britney bath” and the coke-snorting (see around 1:50) “Gimme More” video. Yikes.

Oh my, I can’t believe that I’ve reduced to defending Chris Crocker here! Eeek! He’s hilarious and I tend to think that he’s intentionally so… he’s a prolific YouTube poster and most of his videos are hit and miss. In fact MOST his videos are miss for me, and I can barely watch them. But he has some classics: One where he compares the struggles of gay men with women (gay men win in his eyes, go figure) and where he claims to be having an incestuous relationship with his brother (not really his brother) and another one answering when he came out of the closet (his answer, when he came out of his mother’s vagina)… yes, strange but funny. It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion.

I’m sure everyone already knows but this was at least his second take of the video, he’s not really a britney fan. He’s more of a dumbed down performance artist kind of guy. He has been trying to get a development deal with LOGO, and this was supposed to be his springboard to television. I guess.
