Obviously, I’m not a huge Megan Fox fan, but there’s been such a vast shortage of eye candy around here for the hetero males to enjoy, so I thought posting these new photos of Fox on the Jonah Hex set would be a nice gesture. Well, that, and I must admit that this is a pretty damn awesome costume.
Jonah Hex, of course, is an adaptation of the comic/graphic novel series. As a character, Jonah Hex first appeared back in 1972 in various DC Comics and eventually progressed, in 1977, into the 1st series, which ran until 1985. A revival spawned the 2nd series in 2006, and, just a few months ago, Josh Brolin signed as the title character for the live action film, which is set for an August 2010 release.
Now, here’s a strange twist of fate for you. Back when the Coen Brothers were casting No Country For Old Men, they actually thought they were casting James Brolin but accidentally cast “the Brolin kid” instead. Josh, of course, kicked some major ass as Llewelyn Moss, and, as a result, he’s now quite the sought after actor. In fact, when Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers was courting Josh for Jonah Hex, they may have let him call a casting shot or two:
Wanna convince Josh Brolin to be in your movie? Just let him cast it himself and he’ll be putty in your hands!
You might remember that Brolin was having a hard time deciding whether he wanted to do Jonah Hex back in November. He was; he wasn’t; he wasn’t sure; he couldn’t decide. Brolin said: “It’s so ridiculous. But once I started putting people in my mind and saying what if I put Malkovich in this role then what does this movie become?” It might have been musing back then, but three months later, it’s a reality!
So, John Malkovich (good call, btw) shall work his voodoo in the role of Quentin Turnbull, and Will Arnett has also signed onto the film. (Should make for an interesting time, especially since the script was written by the same guys who scripted Crank.) Oh yeah, and Megan Fox will be there too as Hex’s love interest, Leila. Despite the corset, Megan looks like she’s enjoying herself quite a lot in these photos. Or, perhaps she’s just relieved that makeup artists are able to cover up those crappy tattoos. Tough call.

I don’t know how it is possible (I would have doubted that it was), but she manages to look annoying in a corset. I look at this and all I can think is “thank God I can’t hear what she is saying”.
In way of thanks though I will admit that she does have nice skin. Where it is not covered with idiotic tattoos. Damn. I tried.
