It’s not like I’m a cheerleader for Michael “BOOM” Bay and his pathetically diminutive penis, but there are actually people in the film industry that are much more annoying than Bay himself. Let’s take, for example, Uwe “Rumble In The Jungle Pt. 2″ Boll, who fully deserves to get his ass kicked in the boxing ring by Bay. Then, there’s Megan “Verbal Diarrhea” Fox, who actually just received a bit of comeuppance from Bay in a Wall Street Journal interview:
Megan Fox, one of the leads in “Transformers” has criticized your films for being special-effects-driven and not offering so many acting opportunities. Do you agree?
Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, “Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.” But I 100% disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in “Armageddon.” Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did “Transformers”–and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from “Bad Boys.” Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in “Transformers.” I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.
The man does have a point about the previously unknown Fox, who, despite television’s “Hope & Faith,” hadn’t yet registered on the public’s radar before Bay cast her. Still, any respect that I just gained for Bay was quickly obliterated when the guy took responsibility for the career of Nicholas “OH, NO! NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEES! AAAHHHHH! OH, THEY’RE IN MY EYES! MY EYES! AAAAHH! AAAGGHHH” Cage. Dude, who would even want credit for that?

ben affleck and nic cage had a great filmography before to meet Bay.After him,it became very different!
Fox is right:Bay is the worst actor director of Hollywood!
He really should have asked what other sort of movie that she thought she was going to get to be in.
Wait, did he say he built Will Smith too? So the whole “had own highly successful primetime sitcom” had nothing to do with it. And if anybody built Affleck, it would be either Damon or Kevin Smith.
See, this kinda leaves me divided. Sure, she is dissing the movie that made her famous, but it isn’t like she is WRONG in her assessment, right?

Pr0n?
Wild at Heart. Honeymoon in Vegas. Raising Arizona. Red Rock West. Moonstruck. Leaving Las Vegas. All good Nicholas Cage movies. All made before The Rock.
Pouty lips, fake books, stupid-ass tattoos… okay, yeah, she could do pr0n, point conceded.
Really though, if you think about it, the Bay films are also the films that pretty much made it impossible to take that actor seriously.
Before The Rock, Nick Cage was actually considered a serious and competent actor. Same for Affleck and Armageddon. Will Smith had Six Degrees of Separation under his belt. Martin Lawrence … well he didn’t have much to start with movie-wise, but he did have his own show as well. And history is pretty much repeating itself with Transformers.
All things considered, Bay actually ruins careers instead of making them.
I would agree, Vermillion…. for the most part, Bay didn’t make “actors,” but he did make “stars” of soon-to-be former actors.
Stars who went on with the ability to command ridiculously large salaries.
At the expense of their indie/acting cred.
Great books and great movies, makes me want to be a wizard!
