Very rarely will a music video actually enhance a song so much that you’ll actually like the tune itself much more after the fact, but, in this case, director David Green delivers the goods.
Green’s interpretation of Miles Fisher’s pop-overkill take on The Talking Heads classic, “This Must Be The Place,” results in a music video homage to the cult classic American Psycho, and it is absolutely hysterical. With a focus on the film’s more sensational scenes, Miles Fisher does a spot-on imitation of Christian-Bale-as-Patrick-Bateman, who performs the tell-tale pop-music lecture before simultaneously banging the hell out of two prostitutes, played in the video by heiress Lydia Hearst and actress Charlotte Kidd, and freaking out with a chainsaw. Also of interest is Nick Hobbs as Bateman’s first yuppie victim, Paul Allen (played in the film by Jared Leto).

This is so brilliant it is just supernatural.
Wow. Thanks for the link!
I still have not seen this movie. It’s at the top of my netflix queue now.
It’s a damn good film, but the ending is a bit more ambiguous than the novel. Still, Bale is phenomenal, and the cast includes Chloe Sevigny.
