Movie Posters: Art Inspiring Art, and so on

As something of a film poster addict, I did a slight dance of joy upon noticing that Smashing Magazine (a geeky design blog) has put together a gallery of its favourite 50 film (and film-inspired) posters. While it’s true that there’s no accounting for taste, I do agree with several of their choices, including the following:
