Despite a recent faux pas involving some lady’s Volkswagen Jetta while on holiday in Aspen, British comedian Rowan Atkinson has just purchased in one of the world’s fastest cars – a $220,000 Morgan Aeromax:
The British-built mean machine is a far cry from Mr Bean’s tatty yellow Austin Mini.
The limited-edition Aeromax races from 0-60MPH in less than five seconds and has a top speed of 170MPH.
The motor has an amazing Batmobile-style gull-wing boot, 20-inch alloy wheels and a whopping 4.4litre V8 engine.
While I have no idea what all of that means, this car differs vastly from Mr. Bean’s vehicle, which costs around $3000 and has a top speed of 85 . . . depending on which way the wind is blowing on a given day. Atkinson already owns several luxury vehicles, including a few Aston Martins. After the success of Mr. Bean’s Holiday, Atkinson treated himself to an Aeromax, which is so exclusive that only 100 of the vehicles were produced.
After the cut, check out one of Mr. Bean’s classic fender benders.

Well, there you go… mere proof to have stayed with the MINI.
He’s one funny bastard, though after watching the first Bean movie I’m not going to be tricked into paying for any more cars for him.
