Well, yesterday turned out to be a rather unusual day in my world, so I’m playing a bit of catch up. It seems that Trent Reznor has made good on his promise to put Nine Inch Nails on indefinite hiatus after the current tour. At the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, Reznor and company hit the stage (Sunday at 1:00am) and confirmed the inevitable. It was to be NIN’s last stateside concert:
“It just dawned on me that this is our last show ever in the United States,” Reznor said during his band’s set. “Don’t be sad. I’ll keep going. But I think I’m going to lose my … mind if I keep doing this, and I have to stop.”
Nine Inch Nails just completed a U.S. tour with Jane’s Addiction. Their summer tour continues in Europe and Asia. The tour, dubbed “Wave Goodbye,” was conceived as a farewell tour to mark the 20th anniversary of their first album, Pretty Hate Machine.
Wait… what? Booooooo!
Hell, don’t listen to my nonsense, for I’m still a bit bitchy about not getting to see NIN one last time. Last November’s concert just wasn’t a proper goodbye, even though I did tell my companion that it would probably be the last NIN show I’d ever be lucky enough to attend. (He didn’t believe me…. shame on him.)
Remember, Year Zero is alive, so all is not lost, bitches. Tyrannosaurus Reznor isn’t finished with his career by a long shot.

[...] RIP NIN (AgentBedhead) [...]
I was at the last NINJA show. It was good, got to hear some NIN stuff that I haven’t heard at one of their concerts before (ie “I’m Afraid of Americans”). They played for almost 2 hours. Good stuff.
