The National Enquirer is reporting that Patrick Swayze is terminally ill with pancreatic cancer, and has less than five weeks to live. This is terrible, terrible news, if true. The National Enquirer has what you might call a checkered record when it comes to accuracy. But this would be an awfully big story for them to screw up, and one would hope that Swayze’s representatives would have been a lot quicker to step forward and shoot this story down if it were baseless. For the moment, let’s all hope that the Enquirer called this one wrong, and that Patrick will be with us for many years to come.
Recalling all the great moments from Patrick Swayze’s filmography, from The Outsiders up through Donnie Darko, would keep us here all day. Instead, let’s just review a couple of the high points from Road House and Dirty Dancing, combined for maximum efficiency into one awesome video.
Update: A representative for Patrick Swayze has confirmed that the actor has pancreatic cancer. The situation isn’t as bad as the initial report from the Enquirer suggested, but it’s still very bad indeed. Our thoughts are with Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi as he struggles with this illness.

Well, crap. I was hoping it was just Enquirer BS.
Best wishes to PS for a speedy recovery.

Damn. I hope he gets better, a future without any Patrick Swayze jokes is a bleak future indeed.
