The story’s been crowded off the gossip pages by the shockingly unexpected news of Peaches Geldof’s divorce, but it looks like Posh & Becks are calling it quits in LA. David’s hoped-for star turn on the LA Galaxy team was less than fulfilling for everyone involved–the team, the fans, and expecially David Beckham. Now he’s hoping to move on to AC Milan, where he’s been playing better than he ever played in Los Angeles. Surprisingly, the Beckhams are also getting thumbs-down reviews as a celebrity couple, which was Posh’s side of the project. The link gives a whole series of reasons why the Beckhams failed to make it as a Hollywood power couple, but perhaps the silliest is Bonnie Fuller’s complaint about Victoria’s hair:

She didn’t have enough hair,” Fuller said of Victoria’s Beckham’s short mane, which she cropped further last year. “American women are big hair girls. They want celebrities with long, sexy hair which they can aspire to.”

Bullfeathers. Victoria rocks that short hair, which is one of the few aspects of her style that I actually like. Whatever the reasons they didn’t hit it off in LA, I’m pretty sure Posh’s failure to look like Jessica Simpson wasn’t one of them.
