Aside from design announcements, this blog will be mercifully comatized until January 1st, upon which time I shall return with a new domain name. I’m completely thrilled with the new plan thus far, and I would absolutely love to take a co-blogger or two along for the voyage. The hiatus-related announcement has been on hold for a few days, in part to confirm that in regards to the 2005 Weblog Awards, Apothegm was indeed shut out in regards to all four nominations. No worries though – we received several tipoffs of this “impending doom,” and winning an award certainly isn’t what client satisfaction is made of. Our designs reflect the preferences and wishes of our clients, and any other benefit we receive from the finished product would be completely incidental. We strive to give clients what they want, not what one person’s very remote opinion would reflect. A very important part of this is browser compatibility, but it isn’t my place to state any opinions on the matter. While we are pleased to see many of our friends nominated in several other categories, we certainly won’t make any formal endorsements, so as not to create any conflicts of interest.
In regards to my hiatus, I have several reality-based matters to attend to, including family, work, and study. As always, wishing you and yours A Very Tarantino Christmas.
UPDATE: Yeesh. I’m not quitting, folks. A zillion other blogs exist to read, and I know how flaky blog readers skimmers are indeed. I’ll be back in January.
