I apologize for besmirching the Agent’s blog* with blasphemous religio-pr0n. You’re looking at the latest outrage to be inflicted on the long-suffering Religion of Peace.

This rather grunky cube is the Apple Store Fifth Avenue in New York City. According to MEMRI, some Muslim groups have their djellabahs in a twist over this structure for the following reasons: a) it’s shaped like a cube, which is a total ripoff of the uniquely clever architecture of the Kaaba; b) somebody or other called it “an Apple Mecca,� which is really just fanning the flames; and c) it will be open 24/7, exactly like the aforementioned Kaaba.

Now, I am no fan of a great deal of modern architecture, and to the extent that this thing looks like some doltish Bauhaus knockoff built by someone who replaced their aesthetic sensibilities with a nitwit ideological agenda, I suppose it could be said to resemble the Kaaba. But it’s blasphemous because it’s open 24 hours a day!? That makes every Kwik-E-Mart in America an affront to Allah. These bearded creeps are begnning to remind me of another bearded creep: “Talking out of turn? That’s blasphemy. Lookin’ out the window? That’s blasphemy. Staring at my sandals? That’s blasphemy. Paddling the school canoe? Oh, you better believe that’s blasphemy.”
