Paris Hilton is like an angel or something, a herpes-laden-penis-wielding-preop-tranny hope restoring angel.
Since I’m not what you’d call the sharpest knife in the drawer, I checked with a couple of legal eagles. By releasing Paris the LA “Justice System” might have just shot themselves in the foot and set a pretty bad precedent. From my understanding, and the smart people I talked to, Paris Hilton’s early release could be used by other inmates as a basis for their early release / home incarceration as well.
So the next time a convicted drunken driver on parole kills someone on the California highways, be sure to send a thank you note to Ms. Hilton, her crack legal team, her bought off shrink and the LA County Sheriffs department.

I think in the “career” of celebs like Hilton, who are basically famous for being famous, who don’t really put out a product like a movie star or a singer, you have to rely a lot on the interest and goodwill of the public.
People are interested in Paris, obviously, but even though people profess to dislike her, they are at the same time entranced with her and her adventures.
I think this episode, although I am sure she is smugly happy she gamed the system again, will rebound on her and the backlash is going to hurt her career. This is going to cause a great deal of resentment by even casual ‘fans’. People may tune out of her tv show, people may stop showing up at her events and openings.
I may be wrong, but I believe this may finally mark the beginning of the end where people have finally had a bellyful of Paris Hilton and just want her to go away. This is far from the end of her personal problems, she is a severely fucked up person and an end like that of Anna Nicole Smith once Paris’ “looks” start going seriously south. Most of her borderline ‘attractiveness’ is based on the fact she’s young. She certainly doesn’t have the kind of beauty that is going to be lasting once she hits the magic 30, and her hardpartying and starving herself isn’t going to help.
She may be gloating now, but I doubt she’ll have the last laugh. There is going to be long lasting backlash over this and its going to damage her much more than just doing the fucking 20 days, or at least something near it.
