It’s the triumphal appearance at the end of the New York Fashion Week show for Heatherette, where Paris and her sister Nicky strutted their stuff in the design house’s extraordinarily tacky outfits. Paris is flanked by Heatherette masterminds Richie Rich and Traver Rains, while that thingamajig on the left is transgender model and Heatherette camp follower Amanda LePore. Curiously, Paris doesn’t look all that happy to be in what one would think is her element. If this were a picture of someone else, they might well be recalling Sartre’s line from Huis Clos: “Hell is other people.” But this is Paris Hilton, and she doesn’t know who Sartre is. Also, she can’t spell his name. Or pronounce it.
