Nothing definite, but it sounds like Paula Abdul might have slipped off her chair at the judges’ table for the last time. According to this report, the producers of American Idol—and possibly Simon Cowell—have had it with her charming but hopelessly deranged behavior and are thinking about giving the show some much needed class by replacing Paula with Sharon Osbourne. (Because, as we all know, Sharon Osbourne is the very definition of classy.) Right now, Sharon is a co-judge with Simon on America’s Got Talent, and the producers think the two would work well together on AI. Supposedly Paula is crapping her pants at the possibility of being dropped from the show, and has made heartfelt promises to clean up her act. One way or another, it sounds like the next season of Idol will feature either a much less interesting Paula, or no Paula at all.

Don’t we go through this with Paula every year right about this time? Last year the rumor was they’d replace her with Cher. Kid you not.

Cher!? Okay, I missed that one. Anyway, the Agent and I are the founding members of the American Idol Haters’ Club, so I probably shouldn’t write about something I don’t like, don’t watch, and don’t follow.
Where can I get an application to join the American Idol Haters’ Club?
