Alright, it’s time for a second Reznorgasm regarding yesterday’s accounting of three members of Jane’s Addiction. Yes, it was a shameless display of “Go-Go Gadget” skills, or perhaps it was an Alias thing, but, obviously, that’s the point here.
Above, you’ll find the latest cryptic photo (click for the full thing) from Trent Reznor, which, like one of his previous photos, focuses upon Jane’s Addiction bass guitarist Eric Avery. However, lead/rhythm guitarist Dave Navarro is also visible in the background. Then, way back within the creamy bokeh, there sits another fellow that could very well be lead singer Perry Farrell. In fact, it must be him.
You see, right before I posted yesterday on this topic, I was checking out the below photo, and I had a pretty strong hunch that the guy sitting on the couch might have been Perry Farrell. Of course, it also could also have been Reznor himself, but, through my own lack of initiative, I left it alone at the time. Then, after looking at the latest photo, I decided to run a few photoshop filters on the below shot to see if the outfits matched up, and they damn well do. However, you’re gonna have to take my word for it because, considering the many visitors coming over from the nin.com forums, I seriously doubt Reznor would appreciate me posting a substantially altered version of any of his clues.
Yeah, I know that, at this point, Trent Reznor pretty much tosses everything, including his own ass, under a Creative Commons license. However, beyond resizing these photos, I’m making a rather pretentious ethical decision not to post the altered form of the below shot because, to be perfectly blunt, it looks like absolute shit. Also, Reznor obviously meant for us to merely see two shadowy figures. So, feel free to either believe me or, in the privacy of your own home, screw around with the picture yourself, but that dude on the sofa looks exactly like a cleaned-up Perry Ferrell. So, if anyone wants to double check my math here, I do believe that makes four Jane’s Addiction members in the studio with Trent Reznor, doesn’t it?
