It seems that the deluded father of Amy Winehouse has displaced his frustrations. Instead of holding his sweet, innocent little girl accountable for her own actions, he’s blaming the nearest chav instead. Mitch Winehouse — cab driver and “Daddy” mentioned in Amy’s song “Rehab” — is simply “sick of bad boys affecting Amy’s career.”
Certainly, Mitch was relieved to hear that Amy’s hubby, the vivacious Blake Fielder-Civil, will be spending Christmas behind bars. However, when the rather unsupportive Pete Doherty stepped up — “I speak to Amy almost every day.” — to guide Amy through her Blakeless hours, Daddy had enough and acted out at Amy’s recent Brixton concert:
Mitch clocked Pete backstage and hit him with a guitar. An onlooker said: “He told him to leave Amy alone, saying that he was the last person she needs at moment. Pete was smirking until Mitch turned and whacked him.”
Poor Pete. He’s really turned his life around by serving gourmet food to his formerly crackheaded cats. No offense, Daddio, but I do believe that Amy definitely has more problems to worry about than hanging out with Pete fucking Doherty.
