Bloody hell, mates. I was wrong. This time, Pete Doherty did not lose track of time in a heroin-fueled bout of street poetry. He did not lose his passport, nor did drugs fall out of his coat pocket whilst waltzing through customs. None of these things occurred, for our favourite junkie wastrel has actually arrived on set and commenced filming his role as 19th Century French poet Alfred de Musset in La Confession d’un Enfant du Siècle (The Confession Of A Child Of The Century). Of course, Pete is wearing a whole shit ton of makeup so as to look more “proper” with that top hat and cane as he appears next to Charlotte Gainsbourg, who admittedly appears rather troll-like in her costuming. Filming is currently taking place in Bourg-en-Bresse in eastern France, although I still cannot figure out how Pete arrived on time and without incident. Mind = blown.

They should’ve just gotten Jack White. They look kind of similar, and I though Jack did a good job in Cold Mountain.
