Even though Pete Doherty has kept a relatively low profile since he attended that death party several weeks ago, but the rumours continue to swirl around his much maligned existance. One tabloid published a bit of rubbish stating that Pete and Kate Moss were to have married on December 29th during a civil ceremony at Fulham Register Office in London. Wrong.
Last week, Kate left Pete behind by jetting off to Thailand for a glamorous party hosted by socialite businessman David Tang. Kate is said to have rented a ”5,000 a week villa complete with its own pool, cook, and maid. Also present in a nearby villa on the island of Phuket is Kate’s unlikely friend, the Duchess of York and her two teenage daughters. Poor Pete, so it would seem.
Then Pete got all adventurous and decided to break his community supervision order by jaunting off to join his lady love in Thailand, a country “where heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and opium are easily available. And Thai authorities are notorious for dishing out harsh punishment to drug offenders.” Not very smart, old chap.
As if on cue, reports are now dribbling in that Pete and Kate took wedding vows on Jan 1st in a Buddist ceremony “said to involve the sprinkling of water over heads and flowers draped over shoulders” in Phuket. Even if these vows actually occurred, one doubts the legality of it all. Not that the law means anything to our antihero . . .
UPDATE: Oh hell. According to Celebitchy, the two druggies really got married or at least went through the ceremonial motions. No word on if the whole schbang is legally binding, but as always, I’ll bring the details when they arrive.
UPDATE: Enter the obligatory publicist denial. This could go either way, much like Pete and Kate do in the bedroom.
Below are pictures of the duo on a different exotic vacation in October. Next to the gangly Doherty, Kate looks like such a midget.

damn, he drives an MG. I’ll have to re-evaluate Pete, he must be semi-cool. (with stock wheel hubs yet!)
I have a 1970 “B” that has chronic electrical problems, but I still love it and have poured much sweat and money into keeping it on the road. That looks like a Midget but still makes Doherty cooler in my book
Thanks for the news, my Kate Moss stocks are already up 50% on trendio! =) http://www.trendio.com/word.php?language=en&wordid=1248
