Looking around the world at some of the more despicable national leaders, it’s easy to focus on their disgusting personal habits—feeding dissidents into woodchippers, executing rape victims and homosexuals, stuff like that—and lose sight of the fact they’re a crop of repellently geeky weirdos. Luckily The Manolo, a man whose eye is fixed with a laser-like intensity on the most superficial aspects of life, is ready to give us the skinny on dictator chic.

Ahmedinejad, in The Manolo’s view, is scary but unforgivably scruffy:

…[T]he President of the Iran wears the same khakhi windbreaker, wrinkled trousers, cheap oxford shirts, scruffy beard and wild eyes favored by the aging high school chemistry teachers everywhere.

On the other hand, Muammar Qaddhafi (sp? Oh, forget it) emerges as the thug with the requisite brutality, lunacy, and fashion sense to make despotism swing:

And when he was not sporting the Bedouin robes, the Qaddafi he wears the kinte-cloth dashikis! And he has the personal bodyguard comprised entirely of the super hotty she-devils! This, Mr. Ahmedinejad is how the real tyrants do it, with flair and drama and color, and Amazons in the tight-fitting camouflage catsuits!

Good call, Mr. Manolo, and one more reason why we need to start getting serious about this monstrous dweeb Ahmedinejad and his regime. It would be excessively ironic if Jerusalem were torched by a guy who looks like my teacher in high school who burned his thumbnail off while introducing us to “Sodium, Aluminum’s Feisty Friend.â€?
