Oh bollocks, mates! It seems that our antihero, Pete Doherty, has continued his streak of bad junkie luck by showing up drunk for a commercial flight and being forced to hire a private jet:
Babyshambles rocker Pete Doherty was barred from boarding an easyJet flight from Valencia to Gatwick after getting drunk with bandmates.
So he had to fork out nearly £10,000 for a private jet from Spain.
EasyJet said: “Mr Doherty’s reputation preceded him following a previous incident with EasyJet when he was removed from a flight to Barcelona and following last month’s incident when he was arrested after a BA flight to Geneva.”
Well, one can’t blame an airline for barring Doherty after he got all smacked up in the lavatory of one of their planes, which was followed shortly thereafter by a drunken driving arrest. Certainly, that private jet just cost Babyshambles all of the money they would have made for that gig. I wonder why they continue to put up with all that nonsense.
