Queen Elizabeth Might Pass Over Dodgy Son, Hand Throne To William Instead

Celebitchy reports that when the time arrives for Queen Elizabeth to pass on her throne, she might have decided to skip a generation and make Prince William the next king of England. This buzz comes among rumours of a wedding between Prince William, 24, and his lady love, Kate Middleton, 25.

In a bid to help her grandson secure Kate’s hand in marriage, Queen Elizabeth is said to have told Kate that she plans to pass the crown to William, not his father Prince Charles, when she dies! Charles is not considered as worthy as William to represent the monarchy as he is divorced and has wed another divorcee that is not well liked.

Elizabeth is said to have convinced Kate that she should marry William, and that she will ensure he becomes King when she passes.

Queen Elizabeth reportedly believes that Charles and Camilla would be the death of the monarchy, and her Buckingham Palace advisors say that William and Kate are “the last hope if the royals are to survive the 21st century.”

This lends some credence to a little tidbit from last week’s Popbitch newsletter:

Jean Cocteau, in his diaries, noted that at the Queen’s coronation a very young Charles fell off his chair. And, according to African tribal lore, this was a sign that he would never become King.

Oh, this could get interesting for the slighted Charles and Camilla, but only the Queen knows what’s up her royal sleeves.

Many of us are praying for just such a decision. King William, please!

what good would William do? The monarchy’s only advantage these days is tourism. And as a former royal nut, William is not that facinating. And considering the “Diana treatment” Kate will most likely hide in the shadows. Also, I’m sick of the royal soap opera. That’s not monarchy, that’s a joke
Also, who says William is any better than Charles? Charles may come off pushy, but who says Will’s perfect? Just because he’s handsome? Whatever.
