Inglourous Basterds might be a film about WWII, but Quentin Tarantino knows better than to make his film into one huge sausage fest. We’ve already talked about one of Tarantino’s bitches, Diane Kruger in the role of German actress Bridget Von Hammersmark, who assists the Basterds in their Nazi smackdown. However, we’ve neglected to mention the casting of Melanie Laurent as heroine Shoshanna Dreyfus, who, as a young girl, saw her family killed by the Nazis and seeks revenge. Shoshanna later inherits a theater, which serves as a setting for a pivotal portion of the Basterds’ plans.
Melanie Laurent has appeared in twenty French films, but this will be her premier appearance in a mainstream film for U.S. release. Of course, we’ll just have to wait to see how well she pulls off Shoshanna, but Melanie seems to have loads of personality as well as being pretty damn cute. Also, the foot thing.

i was reading somewhere that Diane has a massive crush on Brad Pitt and is trying to steal him away from Angelina. How I wish this were true and not some b.s. that Star has to make up to sell they’re stupid shitty rag! Maybe I’ll just pretend it’s true and leave it at that…

What, no enabled comments for the Malkovich link? THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! way to go, kimberly!!!!
Wow, I like her even better as a brunette. Brings out her eyes more.
Oh and I’m sure AB is only trying to make sure I don’t further provoke the wrath of Malkovich with my twisted compliments. I really am a huge fan though. And I don’t actually think he’d kill anyone. He’s got enough money that he can hire people for that.
