Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon on the glacially slow-moving ABC drama Lost, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving about 3:00 Thursday morning in Honolulu. Kim is the fourth Lost star to be picked up on a driving-related charge.
I don’t really follow Lost, which seems about as exciting as a portentious, highly surrealistic test pattern, but considering the fates of Kim’s fellow offenders Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia Cortez—gunshot fatality), Cynthia Watros (Libby—gunshot fatality), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr. Eko—eaten by smog monster), Kim’s character probably has something unpleasant to look forward to. Hopefully something along the lines of being devoured by army ants, because the gunshot thing is getting a little old.
Seriously, what is it with the cast of Lost and motor vehicles? At this rate, the big revelation for the upcoming season will probably involve learning that the plane originally crashed on the island following a mid-air collision with an SUV driven by a shitfaced Evangeline Lily.
