Although retail stores would like you to believe that the holiday season starts shortly after Arbor Day, we here at Agent Bedhead prefer to wait until a bit closer to Christmas before we start filling the space with Christmas cheer. But now December is upon us, so let’s welcome the holidays in the traditional Japanese manner—with a fashion show featuring penguins dressed as elves. (Two of the hapless birds actually stumble off the runway, proving that penguins are every bit as graceful as actual runway models.)
To be honest, I’m just assuming these penguin-elves have a seasonal connection. Japanese culture can be a little opaque to outsiders, so for all I know this might be part of a ceremony expressing remorse for Japanese aggression in the Second World War. At any rate, it seems appropriate for the holidays. Now get out there and shop.
