Blogpop must be in a pretty good mood tonight, as his beloved team blog, The Boileryard, has been named Political Blog of the Day. This is excellent news and will surely boost team morale. At this point, I’m going to get all nostalgic and thank Pops for inviting me to be a member of the team last fall. My teammates are a great group of writers, and it’s an honour to even be included.

On a more conspicuous note, I need some help from my readership. Fistful of Fortnights got pinged twice today by Fleshbot for this post. This seems slightly odd, as it was featured in the Sex Blog Roundup almost two months ago, which is where the pings originated. Obviously, it’s nice to find praise of any sort, and that lone link resulted in an additional three-thousand hits in March. That was definitely a shocker, but I tend to think that the long-term effects were negligible. I’m guessing a mere handful (a very small handful) of the Fleshbot visitors became regular readers here, because this blog is nowhere near as risque as others featured in these roundups.

Does that make this officially a “Sex Blog”? I should hope not, since labels generally piss me off. I think a broad range of topics get covered here, with the overarching theme being to keep things slightly frivolous. Of course, I do write about sex whenever the whim strikes, but I don’t do it nearly as much as when I began blogging. What do you guys think? Do you come here for the sex talk, or for other reasons? Which kind of posts would you like to see more frequently around here? Don’t worry about placing demands on yours truly, because if something unreasonable is requested, I’ll likely just ignore that one. Heh. Sometimes though, parameters can help a writer, so I urge you to comment on this post or email me with your opinions, suggestions, or requests.
