Seriously, Fuck Tom Cruise

By Agent Bedhead in Scientology, Smoking Bolts, Tom Cruise

cruise

The question has been presented as to why critics of Tom Cruise cannot just discount his crazy, Scientology-related shenanigans and just appreciate him for the fine actor and Hollywood playa that he presents himself to be. The problem with that tactic is that Cruise himself cannot separate his career and his personal and quasi-religious persona. If you want to know why, in a nutshell, why I despise Tom Cruise and will never support any of his films, then read on.

In Scientology, celebrities are treated as royalty because they are in the public eye, and, therefore, they are highly effective recruiters for the Cult. The bigger the celebrity, the more powerful they are within the Cult, and Tom Cruise is the (undisputed) most prominent celebrity within the Cult. In fact, Cruise is commonly known as the 2nd most powerful individual, after leader David Miscavage, within Scientology. Why the hell does this matter, and why should it reflect upon how anyone feels about him as an actor? Here are just a few jargon-ridden words from L. Ron Hubbard:

Celebrities are very Special people and have a distinct line of dissemination. They have comm lines that others do not have and many medias to get their dissemination through.

Because of their value as disseminators it is unfair to make them staff members working full-time as any other Sea Org member does in the Organization, rather they should be allowed to be the celebrity they are, utilizing their talent, to get them more into the public eye….

Celebrities are Valuable, treat them that way; they can help put more people on the bridge by use of their abilities and their media…

At this point, Tom Cruise is the most powerful weapon – that is, the most effective recruitment tool – within Scientology. He’s also one of the richest and most “generous” donors to the Cult, most of which goes not to support its lowly workforce but directly to Miscavage for his own use and for recruitment purposes. As far as the Sea Org goes, this is Scientology’s inner workforce that pretty much equates into modern-day slave labour. If you think that’s a made-up statement or an exaggeration, I’d suggest you start reading here and there. The information is out there, and, in due time, Scientology will go down at the hands of Anonymous.

In the meantime, Tom Cruise has, clearly, accepted the consequences of his actions on behalf of the Cult, including indoctrination videos and other methods of recruitment, which actually lead to the forced labor and false imprisonment of thousands of individuals, is a moot issue. Whether or not he truly recognizes the harm that he does, or whether he even cares, doesn’t matter. He is one damn dangerous individual and, as far as I’m concerned, pure evil.

So, when Nikki Finke publishes detailed articles such as Top Execs Exiting United Artists & Tom Cruise’s Movie Studio Imploding, this is all good news, especially when the NY Post picks up some of the major points:

Tom Cruise is on the verge of getting fired yet again as Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer CEO Harry Sloan looks to bring Cruise’s United Artists studio under the control of MGM production chief Mary Parent, sources told The Post.

The move comes as Sloan reaches the conclusion that Cruise and business partner Paula Wagner, who own 30 percent of UA, “don’t know what they are doing,” several sources close to MGM or inside its investor group said.

“Harry made a mistake in backing those two, and now he’s trying to figure out how to rectify it,” one source said.

Indeed, Cruise and Wagner, who were kicked off the Paramount lot in 2006 by Sumner Redstone, have suffered both box-office failure with “Lions for Lambs” and a public-relations debacle that has engulfed the upcoming “Valkyrie.”

Look, I don’t give a shit if Cruise is reportedly hilarious in Tropic Thunder because that glorified cameo is just gravy to him. However, him losing control of UA is ultimately a good thing, because a Cruise with less money won’t be turning over as many millions to Scientology. More importantly, Cruise won’t be able to recruit as heavily, which will save countless lives and families from utter destruction. Read up on it.

UPDATE: As always, Flea expresses these and other ideas far more eloquently (and with far fewer naughty words) than I do!

I R A Darth Aggie

So, if I’m reading this right, Tom Cruise must go back in the closet (and take Travolta with him)? and stay there for a very long while. Kinda like being in prison, with out the possibility of getting shanked in the prison yard.

Tomorrow is the 7th monthly worldwide protest to be staged against the cult, consecutively. Find your local org or front group and stop by. If you can’t join in, give the troops a honk!

Lova ya AB. You is the bee’s knees.

I’m tempted to come out (not in the sense that Tom Cruise should) — is there a place that lists all of the, er, activities by geographic region?

I have a number of very nice conservative suits that would go well with one of those masks.

If you look at the careers of every celebrity who has gotten involved in the cult, it becomes obvious that without exception, the downward trajectory can be seen to have begun within 2-3 years after they became involved. Tom Cruise is an exception only in that it took longer for him to spin downward. This may be because he did take quite a long hiatus in the 90s from the cult. But when he was re-recruited and re-indoctirnated, right around the time he left Nicole Kidman, it began to crash hard.

“At this point, Tom Cruise is the most powerful weapon – that is, the most effective recruitment tool -…”

I think that was true before he started acting crazy but most people I talk to or overhear in the company lunchroom, are pretty comfortable talking about how crazy these people are and Cruise is the one who put the whole “religion” in the spotlight. I would think he is hurting them way more than helping.

“… with out the possibility of getting shanked in the prison yard.”

Aggie, I’m willing to bet if those two are put in a closet together, both of them are going to get “shanked”.

Tomorrow is probably a bit soon. Besides it’s going to be like 90 degrees here, and there’s no freaking way I’m putting on a suit (or much of anything else) and walking around outside in that.

But if they’re happening every month, I’ll make one sooner or later. How are people with cameras tolerated?

Great article.

All scientology celebrities should be boycotted unless of course it is to raise awareness like this.

Fuck Nicole Kidman too for letting those children she helped adopt be brought up in this abusive cult and being part of the cover-up.

Nice article. I especially loved the “knowing how to know” ad by $cientology right under it!! I wonder how much the cult is spending on all those ads plastered all over the internet? Knowing they are spending tax-free (google $cientology and the IRS to find out HOW THAT came to be) income for all their advertising on the interwebs makes me kinda sick though.

Due to my annoying habit of speaking in paragraphs, I did not quite get……

@ jvon, I always bring a camera to the protests, people with cameras are welcome (unless they act like the Scientologists and PIs who keep trying to get photos of us unmasked).

08.16.08 | 10:33 am

No I have no interest in getting pics of people without masks on, maybe some good shots of people WITH masks though.
