Under the terms of her early release from rehab, Lindsay Lohan missed the Wednesday premiere of Machete, her latest and possibly last film unless she pulls herself together. However, the event showed the “troubled starlet” remains popular with the extremely niche demographic of people who also have roles in Machete. Director Robert Rodriguez praised Lindsay’s performance, as did Jessica Alba and near-pathological badass Danny Trejo:
Trejo, who plays the title character in Machete, forecast only good things for Lohan. “Lindsay’s gonna be cool. She knows it. I know it,” he says. “You know, she got in a little trouble, and now she’s had a little time to put her head together. She’ll be alright. We’ll pick her up again.”
Michelle Rodriguez also had good things to say about her costar. (Note to Lindsay: Hanging out with Michelle Rodriguez definitely wouldn’t be a genius move, which means you’ll probably do it.) This is all very positive, and it would be nice to believe that at long last Lindsay has finally turned a corner. For anyone who actually does believe that, I’m offering 500-to-one odds that she’s in trouble again within the year. I’ll show you my ten bucks as soon as I see your $5000.

Lindsay is talented, no doubt, but a bit too wild for my tastes.
