Recently, some folks expressed concern that the latest Sherlock Holmes poster resulted in my expression of the slightest attraction for Jude Law. Well, you’ll be pleased to know that–thanks to Stacey Nosek’s “gay prairie dog” assessment and the above photo of Jude doing his best impression of a jizzing Jonas Brother–I’ve duly recovered from my temporary fall from grace. Gay Holmes? Fine. There’s plenty of subtext, right there in the AC Doyle stories.
But why make bad Holmes?
Not sure I see why any relationship between two men is seen as “homo erotic” even when they are not actually bumping cocks. I suspect some folks see what they want to see.
