“Mozart was a punk, which people seem to forget. He was a naughty, naughty boy.” – Shirley Manson
Miss Shirley “The Killer Urinal” Manson seems to be thoroughly enjoying her run on the 2nd season of “Terminator: The Summer Glau Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Unforyunately, the series has been consistently plagued by cancellation rumours, which have been promptly brushed away when the FOX network ordered up a full season of the program.
Things may no longer be so certain, for Holy Moly has issued one of their (generally reliable) Trufax-styled bits: “Dour-faced Shirley Manson from Garbage has just been cast in her own CSI.” This revelation led me to revisit a recent blind item that makes a bit more sense now:
Which TV drama series is going to go off the air without wrapping storylines or telling the viewers? The network is pretending that everything is fine. The stars continue to smile, and the network continues to promote the show. However, the schedule has been shuffled and show’s writers have been told to clear out their offices.
Of course, many shows are rumoured to be on the chopping block. However, does “Lipstick Jungle” have the kind of storyline that would actually need to be wrapped up? Not bloody likely. In light of network assurances concerning “Sarah Connor Chronicles,” it’s starting to look like the FOX network may just be appeasing the show’s current advertisers. Either way, Shirley Manson likely won’t be returning as a killer urinal next season.

You’re going to hate me for saying this, but I haven’t been impressed with her performance on the show. It could be the writers’ fault, I don’t know, but her character comes off as very stiff … I don’t see where she can go with it even if she wanted to, so maybe it’s just a constraint of the plotline.
I hope they don’t cancel it though. It’s the only network TV show I’ve watched in a few years now.
Jvon, of course her character is very stiff, it’s inhuman.
However personally I find her totally not attractive.
whatever happened to her solo album?
Yes but we’ve seen hot female androids before — Terminator 3, Blade Runner… it can be done, and it isn’t being done here. I find her accent distracting too, rather than hot, which is puzzling. I don’t like the direction they went with the character, though it’s hard to guess whose fault it is.
