She may be Jude Law’s skanky ex-girlfriend, but she’s been working herself into a frenzy as an actual actress. Sienna appears in five feature films to be released over the next several months, and perhaps most notably, she stars as Edie Sedgwick in the biopic film Factory Girl. Guy Pearce, who takes on the role of the deadpan weirdo Andy Warhol, had this to proffer:
“Sienna is kind of naturally Edie. She’s got a bit of a mad quality about her, though I’d assume that she’s much more stable than Edie. She can be distracted easily”’which is not a bad thing. She’s got a lot going on in her head, and she has a great amount of energy and emotion. It makes her performance unpredictable and lively.”
With her soon-to-be ubiquitous presence in theatres, Sienna wishes to be seen as a serious actress and not just some floozy who was boinking Jude Law for much too long a duration. At least she possesses some perspective about it all:
“The media is just a bigger animal than I will ever be. It just becomes this soap opera. And I guess I had a pretty good few episodes.”
