While we all thought that Eminem was the true lyrical genius of the rap music genre, Snoop Dogg has been buring the midnight bong while working on his debut novel.
This much anticipated October release of “Love Don’t Live Here No More” is sure to be about as intelligible as tossing James Joyce and Truman Capote into the paper shredder, tossing in a bit of gold finish, haphazardly binding it together, and repeatedly running over it with a lawnmover.
Via its publicity director, Atria Books dishes the dirt:
“Snoop, by nature of what he does, is a storyteller. Books speak more to a female audience than his music, so these novels give him an opportunity to show, particularly to his female fans, another side.”
Of course, the book will be semi-autobiographical and will detail the dramatic rise of a hip-hop star. Personally, I think anyone has to wears their name on their shirt just to remember who the hell they are has no business entering into a publishing deal. At the very least, he should change title of the book to “Please Don’t Take Off Your Clothes, Mariah Carey.”
