When I was in London in 1999, they had a musical on the West End called &quot;Boyband.&quot; That&#039;s what this reminded me of; a cheap attempt to cash in on a fleeting trend. If this is where Broadway is headed, I&#039;ll just cling to my Rodgers &amp; Hammerstein DVDs and whine about the &quot;good old days&quot; like the other musical fans.



American Idol = The Gong Show  B-List sitcom stars and the surrealism and never-say-die attitude that made that show a hit.</description>
