Spiderman Prepares to Conquer the World

After setting box office records across Asia and Europe, Spiderman 3 opens today in American theatres. Early reviews are a little mixed. (And hopefully we’ll learn soon how the folks at Pajiba feel about this one.) However, this is one of those cases where the reviews are almost irrelevant; everyone agrees that the third installment in the Spiderman franchise is going to stuff a gut-bustingly enormous wad of cash down Sony’s corporate throat. Meanwhile, I-Mockery has rounded up some examples of the spinoff merchandise others have hawked in an attempt to exploit the Webbed One’s mystique. Few of them can match the almost transcendent stupidity of the Spiderman/Fisherman Fly-Fishing Action Figure (shown here), but it’s not for lack of trying.
