Fuck me running. Apparently, KFed has scored a legitimate record deal with Sony BMG:
The much maligned husband of Britney Spears, who previously worked as a backing dancer, set up his own company, Federation Records, recently after being unilaterally snubbed. But the 28-year-old’s debut live performance of his first single “Lose Control” at America’s Teen Choice Awards last month (20Aug06) changed some opinions, reports AllHipHop.com, with Sony BMG signing a deal to back Federation Records. Federline’s debut album Playing With Fire will hit shops in the US on 31 October (06).
Here’s what happened: Sony BMG realized that teenagers will shriek and holler for anything that can shuffle around onstage and proclaim itself a “supahstah” who “married a supahstah,” declares himself “in a whole other tax bracket,” and manages to “keep it real” for the 10-year old set. As a as a 28-year old sperm donor to four children, KFed might actually have a point on his tax bracket statement, but I doubt that’s the vibe he was going for.
The KFed phenomenon is further evidence of the decline of the yoots of America, since my generation was duped by the likes of Vanilla Ice, but at least he could fucking dance.

All right, stop!
Collaborate and listen…
At least Vanilla Ice had enough sense to beat the crap out of his “Ice Ice Baby” video — I don’t think K-Fed will ever get the hint.
And we only got duped once by Mr. Ice, who, it should also be remembered, did not attain his ‘popstar’ status br marrying Cindi Lauper
