The Beastie Boys Are Optimistic For The Future

Beastie Boys Twitter

Adam Horovitz, a.k.a. “King Ad-Rock” of the Beastie Boys, posted the above image on the band’s Twitter account with the declaration that “[G]ood news…2011 is gonna be stress free.” Don’t you love that Ad-Rock (probably wearing his Drudge hat) stopped in the middle of an icy sidewalk just to take that picture? It makes me feel a little less insane for stopping in the middle of the gym parking lot to take pictures of pretty leaves on the ground.

Anyway… and in addition to those guarantees of clean drug tests, another bit of amazing Beastie-related news is that doctors have given the “all-clear” signal to Adam Yauch after his 18-month bout with cancer. Now, the countdown commences until the spring release of the group’s next album, Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2. Sounds spicy.

I’m glad to see that I am not the only mid-western white girl who loved the Beastie Boys.
