Every night in Hong Kong, barring a Tropical Cyclone Warning, a musically narrated light show of five parts is broadcast to the masses:
“A Symphony of Lights” has been awarded the world’s “Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show” by Guinness World Records. This nightly spectacle combines interactive lights of 33 key buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon with musical effects to showcase the vibrancy and glamorous night vista of Victoria Harbour.
The show purports to take its spectators on a “unique journey celebrating the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong” and is broadcast in five different languages at several outdoor locations. Good gawd, what a waste of human effort. On the bright side of things, the Chinese may be pinko commies, but at least they aren’t environmentally sound!
