Doesn’t it seem — I don’t know — slightly unnerving that Madonna’s forthcoming album, Hard Candy, shares the same title as a film about a pedophile who stalks his prey on the internet? That’s pretty creepy, even for Madonna.

I thought I might rally to Madonna’s defense but a quick Google suggests that film is the only pop culture reference for the work. It does seem a bit… odd… particularly given the age of her daughter. I had been under the impression Madonna was going to be mumsy from here on in.
Has she had some work done on her face recently? She’s looking a bit like Jamie Lee Curtis, if Jamie Lee Curtis spent a year sleeping in a crypt and had an accident with a bottle of peroxide.
As for the “Hard Candy” thing, she’s probably running out of ways to get people’s attention. It was this or fellate a horse in Times Square.
Mick Jagger’s comment re: 60-year-old rock stars somehow comes to mind.
When I backed up from the computer some, I thought the picture on the right looked like Jenna Elfman tarted up.
