Some promos have been leaked for the new Chanel adverts featuring Keira Knightley, and the results are rather interesting. It seems strange that the Parisian fashion powerhouse would shell out a substantial sum of money to hire Knightley’s star power, yet her face remains mysteriously hidden in these adverts. Perhaps, as Celebitchy notes, Keira Knightley requires a ton of digital editing, and that expense just may have broken the bank. ‘Tis such a pity!

Chest like a 7th-grade boy? Yup, that’s her.
And, in a conversation with a woman, I heard she has some weird thing about her mouth (not like I focus on women’s mouths y’see). I hadn’t noticed it, but maybe they’re trying to de-emphasize something about their model? Something about their model that would make the people they’re trying to sell to want to club their model like a baby seal? Maybe?

Indeed. And yet, she holds a strange attraction for me, even if I prefer more…womanly…figures. Tho that may be due to airbrushing/photoshoping.
Here’s a headshot, and while I don’t see any issues (per se, and hopefully it isn’t photoshopped), there just seems to be something not quite right.

There are others which show her face- but they’re nothing special. I don’t get why Chanel thinks women will suddenly start buying their perfume more just because they got her- who, exactly, is she meant to appeal to? Teenage boys? They should’ve hired an older and sophisticated woman for the ads, or at least one of the classier younger actresses (who hasn’t made her money from a Disney franchise).
