The Much Too Usual Suspects

Yes, yes, we know. There are certain names, certain faces that make you groan audibly when they turn up on this website for the gazillionth time. Believe it or not, quite often we agree with you. And so do the people E-Poll Market Research interviewed to identify the Top Ten Overexposed Celebrities for Forbes magazine. To be honest, it’s kind of a sketchy list. The presence of the LoHiltSpears trio at the pinnacle of the list is appropriate, even predictable. But OJ?? Now that his decapitating ass has been thrown behind bars for the rest of his worthless life, most people seem ready to move on. And while you can practically smell The Donald’s hunger for public attention reeking from the TV screen, he’s not too successful in actually winning that attention.

Perhaps we should be exploring new frontiers of celebrityhood, like Film Threat’s list of The Frigid 50, celebs whose careers are the exact opposite of red-hot. The list is a little uneven, not to say tasteless (the #1 spot goes to Heath Ledger–edgy!), and what’s worse, most of them are people we write about regularly. Still, there’s plenty of new blood on that list. Maybe it’s time we took a closer look at this Shyamalan fellow.
