We haven’t mentioned Britney Spears much in the past weeks, due almost entirely to her saturated status in the gossip blogs of late. Yet a few points beg mention, first and foremost being the above photographic evidence of Britney’s deteriorating appearance. The image at left shows Britney at the Billboard Music Awards at the end of 2004, and the second image was taken by TMZ just a few days ago. According to plastic surgeon Robert Rey, youth is quickly passing by the former pop princess:

There’s puffiness under her eyes, the quality of the hair has changed. You can see even some wrinkles.

One can see that she may have aged 10 to 15 years more.

Britney is only twenty-five years old, but dropping her exercise routine and substituting the club routine every night certainly has an effect. At some point years ago, I remember reading that Britney used to perform 1000 crunches per day to maintain her sexy abdomen. When one goes from overdoing it to clearly not doing it at all, we can clearly see her arteries clogging before our voyeuristic eyes.

Secondly, the latest plaintive whine from britneyspears.com has caught our attention. In this grating and entirely self-absorbed letter to her fans, Britney does state in part as follows:

If I were you [sic] I’d be unhappy too if I had to read what I’ve been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I’ve been far from perfect [sic] and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move.

Really, how does one exaggerate a crotch shot? Even more difficult to misconstrue are the willful presence of multiple crotch shots. It certainly isn’t unfair to judge someone who thinks they have “matured” yet cannot even display common sense as to the reality of flashbulbs on one’s labia. Again. And again.
