Look, for an A-list celebrity Brad Pitt seems like a nice enough guy. He’s a dedicated family man, does charitable works, isn’t too obnoxiously vocal about his politics. But it’s hard to forget that his way of life is so unlike yours or mine that he might as well be living on the planet Neptune. Case in point: Pitt spent $82,000 on a gerbil hutch. You might think this is impossible, unless you were hiring Richard Gere for the job, but apparently Brad’s hobby is kind of a money-sucker:

He had so much fun putting this run together for his kids Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax…. It is incredibly complex and cost a lot but Brad’s more than happy with any activity that can combine his two passions – the kids and architecture.

Criminy. What happened to assembling a model plane with your kids? Brad gets points for being a super-duper dad, but I’m not going to forgive him for making me jealous of a bug-eyed little rodent that lives in nicer digs than my own.
